This 2008 report by Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is the first of three publications on diversity in philanthropy. This report provides information on how the field’s approach to diversity has evolved and the major strategies and programs that have been piloted. The purpose of this report is to offer background on the historical and current state of diversity in institutional philanthropy, and to stimulate discussion throughout the field.
