This toolbox was created in 2008 by a partnership among NCGives, Community Foundations Serving North Carolina, and a working group of the North Carolina Network of Grantmakers. This toolbox is intended to provide support to community foundations that are interested in moving towards greater community engagement particularly with communities of color, women and youth. The toolbox is divided into four chapters: community inclusive philanthropy, or a review of cross-cutting, organizational methods to becoming a more inclusive, accessible community foundation; youth; communities of color; and women.
